Vanessa Pires is the designer and creator of Vangloria Jewelry Design®.
Her bond with the art of jewelry was sealed at the age of sixteen, when a visit to René Lalique's permanent exhibition, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, deeply captivated her. This meeting awakened in her the passion that would become the driving force of his artistic career.
Vanessa's educational path began at the former jewelry school "Contacto Directo", where she acquired the technical skills fundamental to creating jewelry.
Later when interning at the "Sinais de Encanto" workshop, under the guidance of the master goldsmith José Maria Bulhão, she deepened her knowledge and learned high jewelry techniques.
In 2014, three years after opening her studio, she obtained the certification of "Contrastaria da Casa da Moeda".
Her handmade creations, predominantly geometric, have their genesis in a dreamlike Universe, beyond space and time, where the concrete world of forms and the intangibility of emotions merge, in an alchemical process that brings to light bold jewels full of symbolism.

I've been collecting vintage buttons for several years, which I sometimes incorporate into unique pieces, such as the Nibiru brooch (pictured).

I have a predilection for Art Deco style, vinyl buttons.

Through spirals, sacred geometry, and golden ratios, the objective is always the same: to capture the divine order that permeates the micro and macrocosms and translate it into my creations.

Geometry as language, symbolism as raw material.

Design always starts with geometry. Not as an intellectual exercise, but as a language. Triangles, Fibonacci spirals, golden ratios, arcs, and vertices inspired by nature, architecture, and mathematics materialize into wearable art.

From Bauhaus to Art Deco, from the Chrysler Building to the Nautilus shell, each collection is born from its own conceptual universe, where form carries meaning without overtly stating it. These are bold pieces, full of symbolism, that transcend fashion and endure over time.
